Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain and grow relationships with key local and global customers operating across Europe and parts of Asia
Mine for leads through research – tenacity and drive required 
Work creatively to achieve defined sales outcomes/revenue targets via a structured approach
Work creatively with internal resources to ensure a high rate of customer satisfaction
Continuously monitor progress of growth objectives and be measured on their achievement
Represent company at industry exhibitions and events
Execute sales-related administration (will consume between 5% and 15% of time)
Promote continual improvement of sales-related processes and revenue growth

 

Key Requirements:

 

Essential

Minimum of bachelor’s degree - preferably business-related or business + language-related

Curiosity and interest in translation and translation software

Innate aptitude for understanding and conveying technical information 

Very strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Preferred

Experience with translation processes and translation software

While no post-graduate experience is required, all prior work experience will be considered

Independent – capable of taking a task and seeing it to fruition by gleaning necessary information from resources available

The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with key decision makers in the world’s largest technology companies, in order to grow new business and leverage opportunities from existing accounts to fuel continued company growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Establishes long term relationships with customers at the functional and higher levels within customer organizations
Identify and develop a pipeline of business opportunities
Build relationships within all layers of named accounts to maximize revenue opportunities
Be responsible for designing and implementing account plans and strategies to meet financial targets & objectives. 
Carry out structured reporting of sales pipeline – leads, opportunities, sales, losses etc. 
Achieve daily and weekly targets of calls, identify opportunities and closing sales

Candidate Profile:

 

Candidates with a Software Localization or Alchemy Catalyst user background who would like to move into a sales role will be considered for this position

Customer focused & results orientated

At least 3 years sales experience with excellent track record of selling IT or Software solutions

Good Technical Acumen – Software Engineering/Translation/Localisation knowledge a distinct advantage

Understanding of large and medium sized business organizations and their buying cycles is preferred

Strong interpersonal, influencing and oral and written communication skills 

Ability to interact and negotiate with Key decision makers within an organization

Self-starter capable of working on your own initiative

Ability to pull together various resources to sell and deliver customer solutions 

Good organizational and time management skills are highly desirable

Localisation Project Manager

We are currently growing our business in the Localisation field by deploying Machine Translation for our major corporate accounts.Within the Localisation Department, the Project Manager is responsible for a portfolio of customers for whom Machine Translation technologies have been deployed.

The successful candidate should have a strong technical background and is able to adapt autonomously to new tools and technologies.

Responsibilities include:

Manage relationships with key accounts based on identifying and meeting their requirements at project startup.
Master customer’s proprietary tools, e.g., specific platforms, etc.
Ensure client records are kept up to date (contacts, information, actions, etc.)
Prepare quotes and establish agreements with customers on project scope and deliverables, including price, tasks and deadlines
Ensure that best practices, processes and tools are used in producing localisation projects.
Develop and manage relationships with external suppliers and monitor project profitability.
Coordinate project implementation and oversee successful completion of projects in a timely manner.
Set up linguistic and engineering teams in accordance with project scope and planning.
Set up project schedules in accordance with project scope.

Project Manager for Systran MT / Web 2.0 Deployment in Paris, France 
(French/English Speaker for a 6-month contract

Description of job:

Lexcelera seeks a project manager with an understanding of Web 2.0 technologies and a technical mastery of translation tools. Systran knowledge is a plus. 

This 6-month opening in Paris, France, is for a bilingual French-English project manager who will oversee the deployment of a linguistic platform within a large multinational company, a world leader in its field. The project will begin in January 2010. 

The successful candidate will join a 10-person team responsible for integrating Systran 7 into a multimedia platform with an Internet-Intranet architecture This platform will link machine translation with an internal CMS as well as with existing TMs and glossaries.

Responsibilities include:

80% of this position will involve project management and technical tasks, and 20% linguistic tasks.

 

1. Management

Auditing current needs by communicating with individuals throughout the organization 

Identifying current infrastructure and linguistic tools 

Defining a deployment plan for the integration of Systran 7 within the company, accessible to all staff 

Defining the human and technical resources necessary 

Defining the parameters for integrating Systran 7 and the multimedia platform 

Coordinating communication to and from the various departments involved 

 

2. Technical (Web 2.0): 
The project manager will work with the Web 2.0 cell to develop various interfaces. The project manager must be able to understand and organize this type of development. 

 

3. Linguistic. 
Linguistic tasks (20%) include coordinating the creation of dictionaries and bringing together all the company’s linguistic assets. 

Skills & Profile:

The project scope covers all sites of a Fortune 500 company, with both technical and functional involvement with the latest content management and linguistic tools. 
This requires a thorough knowledge of current technology (ASP, SAAS, open-source), a focus on end users who are non-specialists in new technologies, the ability to listen and the capacity to explain and communicate on projects. 

The position, given the innovative tools and the approach, requires a multi-disciplinary profile involving several skills: a project manager with an understanding of Web 2.0 technologies, and a technical mastery in translation tools (Systran knowledge is a plus).
