| The LRC carries out research
and development in a number of areas of software localisation, including
supporting technologies, such as language engineering. It has been
particularly successful at obtaining major EU funding, and also received
support from Forbait, the National Software Directorate, and the Office of
Science and Technology.
The Localisation Research Centre has been
involved in a number of European projects under the Fourth
Framework Programme, Fifth
Framework Programme, the ADAPT
Initiative, and the eContent
