LRC XIII, the 13th Internationalisation and Localisation Conference organised by the Localisation Research Centre, will take place on 02-03 October 2008.

The theme for this year's conference will be Localisation4All, and the conference will focus on the provision of quality localisation services for people world-wide.

We are now inviting proposals for papers covering the following or similar topics:

Free and Open Source Localisation
Free localisation tools and technologies
On-demand Localisation services
Localisation & Social Networking
Language Technologies
The concept of locale
The importance of standards in localisation availability

Proposals should include contact details for the authors and a short, one paragraph, biographical note. They should be approximately 200 words long and should reach the LRC not later than 01 August 2008. An international panel of experts will review the proposals and authors will be notified by 22 August 2008. Full versions of selected papers are due by 15 September and will be published in the conference proceedings.

Please note that all presenters are expected to register for the conference and pay the relevant 
registration fee.

The Localisation Research Centre (LRC) provides a comprehensive information service to the localisation industry; conducts research and development in localisation and related areas, such as language engineering; produces a range of publications including Localisation Focus - the International Journal of Localisation; and oversees a number of education and training programs.
