2010 LRC Best Localisation Scholar Award

The Localisation Research Centre (LRC) at the University of Limerick is now accepting entries for the 8th edition of the it's annual Best Localisation Scholar Award. This award, sponsored by con[text] is presented to a student entering into or currently undertaking postgraduate research on a localisation related topic in a third-level institution. The award is presented to the winning student based on the quality and relevance of their research proposal.  

Reinhard Schäler, director of the LRC at the University of Limerick said: The LRC has always aimed to encourage researchers to address the issues faced by the localisation industry. As the enabler of the multilingual information society, localisation is a multi-billion euro business and awards such at this will ensure that localisation remains one of the items high up on the agenda of young researchers.

AWARD Winner 
The winning student will receive a substantial prize that will help them in the completion of their research. In addition, the winner will be invited to introduce their topic at the the Annual LRC Conference held in Ireland and given the opportunity to submit a paper on their research to Localisation Focus - The International Journal of Localisation, the only peer reviewed and indexed journal dedicated solely to the field of localisation. 

 SUBMISSION
  

Be a university student who has been or will soon be accepted to pursue a higher degree by research.

Download and complete the entry form.  This form must be signed by the (proposed) project supervisor.

By submitting their work researchers acknowledge the right of the LRC to contact their supervisor and university and report on their work should they be awarded the LRC Best Localisation Scholar Award.
