Online
translation courses launched by Logos
November 13, 2001
--The Logos Group has launched the first-ever translation course
designed for use via the Internet.
Every user of the Logos portal (www.logos.it)
can now follow, entirely free of charge, an online course, Introduction
to Translation, by going directly to the internet page www.logos.it/translation_course/index_it.html
Put together by Professor Bruno Osimo, who teaches
translation at the Milan Higher Institute for Interpreters and
Translators, the course consists of a series of structured teaching
units which are steadily coming onstream and being made available to
the public.
Currently the courses are offered in no fewer than four languages:
English, German, Italian and Spanish. In addition a course in
literary translation is offered in English and Italian.
This facility is principally aimed at those who have studied, or are
currently studying, a language at school or university but have
never followed a specific translation course.
