Have you ever wondered how to build your website so that it can easily be adapted and translated (or localised) for your customers in different countries? Have you ever wondered what is involved in localisation and how much it costs? – If so, then join the ELECT courses in eContent Internationalisation and Localisation, running free of charge this September in 4 European capitals:
Experts will share with you their knowledge on how to prepare your digital material for the global markets in a series of two-day Executive Briefings and Hands-on Courses. (* A multilingual version of the information displayed on this page is available for download in our Localisation Europe newsletter.) Who should attend This course is aimed at managers and employees of small and medium-sized enterprises who have existing, or are about to create eContent material, and who want to make that material available to the widest possible global audience. Although no knowledge of localisation or internationalisation is required, a reasonable knowledge of computing is necessary. Ideally, attendees should have a basic knowledge of HTML and a good understanding of standard office applications such as MS Word and email. The Executive Briefings will bring businesses interested in selling globally together with localisation companies that can help them localise their content. The Foundation courses will provide them with basic skills that will allow them to be proactive in the localisation of their eContent. Executive Briefing - Globalisation of eContent The Executive Briefing will be of two hours duration and will cover the following topics:
All attendees at the briefing will also be invited to a lunch hosted by the ELECT team. Foundation Course - Globalisation of eContent For those interested in pursuing localisation further, ELECT will run a one and a half day course on the subject of "The Internationalisation and Localisation of eContent".
