| WebIT/EFCOT aims to compile a
multilingual pool of terminology used in the field of information technology and software
development and to provide a web-based search and retrieval engine for users who
need access to a reliable source of terminology. WebIT/EFCOT also intends to set up national groups in the countries of the Scandinavian and Greek partners. The aim is to the recommend national language equivalents to English ICT-terminology by implementing the JOGSCOT (Joint Group for Swedish Computer Terminology) model, and to connect and coordinate the activities of these groups into a transnational network, a European electronic forum for computer terminology. WebIT/Efcot is a project under the European Commission Programme MLIS-2007 (Multilingual Information Society). |
