Information for Exhibitors

This year's Irish Localisation Event, Localisation Ireland 2000: Localisation of Knowledge – Knowledge of Localisation will take place in the prestigious Citywest Business Hotel. The two-day event (7-8 November), organized by the Localisation Research Centre (LRC) and supported by the Software Localisation Interest Group (SLIG), will feature a number of workshops, an industry exhibition, and a conference.

We invite companies to participate in the Exhibition and book special slots for product demonstrations.

Localisation Service Providers will have an opportunity to make valuable contacts and demonstrate their capabilities to potential buyers of localisation services.

Software Publishers and Hardware Manufacturers will be able to show to new graduates how exciting it can be to work in the localisation industry and get in touch with highly experienced localisation professionals who might be looking for a change in their career.

Tools Developers will seldom have a better chance to convince the industry of the real gains that can be achieved through using their localisation tools to support the work of project managers, translators and testers.

Recruitment Agencies will have a unique opportunity to talk directly to clients on 'both sides' and present their specialised services to the localisation industry.

Training Providers will be in a position to introduce new clients to their courses specially tailored to cover the needs of the localisation industry in areas such as project management, engineering and testing.

Publishers of Industry Literature and Journals will introduce themselves to new readers and meet some of their current readers face-to-face - a perfect occasion for exploring new ideas and future directions.

Consultants will be offered a forum that will put them in touch with some of the most powerful clients in Ireland and overseas.

Companies can book a fully featured exhibition stand (for details see following page). The fees charged are as follows:

Stand: Ł1,000 (standard specification, incl. free entry in the Exhibition Catalogue and full conference fee for one company representative)

Ł650 for LRC and SLIG members (standard specification, incl. free entry in the Exhibition Catalogue and full conference fee for one company representative)

The stands will be available to exhibitors from 6 November (18:00) to 8 November (17:00). They should be set up by and will be opened on 7 November at 08:30 for the Industry Exhibition which will take place in the main registration and meeting area for morning and afternoon breaks as well as lunches.

Standard Specification

2.50m (wide) x 2.00m (deep) stand erected in white octanorm system, including:

Basic shell and fascia with company name

One long table

Two chairs

Two spot lights

One twin socket
