Call For Papers

The theme of this year's conference is The Future of Localisation Services and we are now inviting proposals for the main conference covering (but not limited to) the following or similar topics:

 

The evolution of Localisation Service Providers

Machine Translation in the mainstream

Tools Providers — Harnessing the Cloud

Language Technologies in the Cloud

Flexible workflow adaptation and evolution

Business models for Localisation beyond the Cloud

On Demand Localisation

The Open Source Option

Standards as a prerequisite for future profit

Online Community benefits for LSPs

 

Proposals should include contact details for the authors and a short, one paragraph, biographical note. They should be approximately 200 words long and should reach the LRC not later than 01 July. Full versions of selected papers & presentations are due by 30 August 2010 and will be published in the conference proceedings.

Please note that, in order to keep our conference fees low for everyone, all presenters are expected to register for the conference and pay the relevant registration fee.

 

The Localisation Research Centre (LRC) provides a comprehensive information service to the localisation industry; conducts research and development in localisation and related areas, such as language engineering; produces a range of publications including Localisation Focus - the International Journal of Localisation; and oversees a number of education and training programs.
