The venue for the 15th Annual Internationalisation and Localisation Conference organised by the Localisation Research Centre (LRC) is the Carlton Castletroy Park hotel. This luxury Limerick Hotel is ideally located in the heart of the west of Ireland. The hotel is just 3 miles from Limerick City, surrounded by superb amenities and is easily accessible via Shannon International Airport, just 25 minutes drive away. The Internationally acclaimed University Sports Arena and Concert Hall is adjacent to the hotel.

Getting to the Limerick & the Conference
The Carlton Castletroy Park hotel is located just outside of Limerick City on a beautiful campus on Ireland’s largest river, the Shannon.
Travelling by Air Plane
Shannon International Airport, located some 16 miles from the hotel, provides direct scheduled air services to Dublin and Belfast, London, Birmingham, Paris, Frankfurt, New York, Washington and Boston.
Buses and taxies link the airport to Limerick city centre. Taxi services from Shannon Airport cost on average € 25. Car Hire services are also available from the airport.
Travelling by Train
Regular rail services connect Limerick with Dublin, Cork, Tralee, Killarney, and (via Dublin) with Belfast, Sligo and Westport.
From Limerick City
Take the Dublin Road out of the city and travel approx two miles to the Parkway roundabout. Go straight through at this roundabout. At the next roundabout, turn left and the hotel is on the right hand side of the road.
Travelling by Bus from the City Centre
There is a regular bus service between the campus and the city centre. A bus ticket costs € 1.20. At the bus stop near the Centra shop in William St. take the bus for the University or Plassey (usually a no.308 or no.302 bus). Daily Bus Eireann Timetable servicing UL to City Centre, Raheen and Caherdavin.
From Dublin / Nenagh
After the village of Annacotty, turn right at the first roundabout you meet as you approach Limerick (sign for the National Technological Park). Follow the road straight on until you come up to the hotel on your left
From Cork / Kerry
Before Patrickswell, take the Limerick exit off the Croom Bypass. Follow the ring road and take the exit for Limerick City. Turn right at the T junction and follow the signs for Dublin. Take the Dublin Road out of the city and travel approx two miles to the Parkway roundabout. Go straight through at this roundabout. At the next roundabout, turn left and the hotel is on the right hand side of the road.
Parking is available at the hotel but must be arranged in advance or booked with a room
Taxis are available from the Train Station and City Centre to the hotel and cost on average €8/9.
